Home Repair Loans

Loans are available to assist low-income households perform necessary repairs to owner occupied homes (including mobile homes) within the city limits. The City will help qualified homeowners with no-interest loans as well as provide construction assistance. Applicants must meet income requirements

Funding is available to repair or replace deficiencies including, but not limited to, plumbing and electrical systems, roofing, water damage, energy conservation, correction of health and safety issues, and ADA modifications.

Down Payment Assistance Program

The City of American Canyon's Down Payment Assistance Program is funded through grant funds received from the State of California's Department of Housing and Community Development. The Down Payment Assistance is in the form of a silent second (deferred) payment loan and can be used to purchase homes within the city limits of American Canyon.

The CalHome Disaster Relief assistance program offers low-interest loans for qualified first-time home buyers who were affected by the 2017 Wine Country fire (or other qualifying 2017 and 2018 disasters). Buyers can get assistance of up to $100,000, 0-1% interest rates on 20-30 year loans, and no required monthly payments. Displaced homemakers or single parents may also qualify for these programs. Learn more and see if you're eligible.
