Fire Service Fee

In 1980, voters approved Measure B, a special tax assessment to maintain levels of fire protection services in American Canyon. Notice of Equalization of Fire Service Fee

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Fire Service Fee Board of Review will hear protests or objections to fire service fees for the purpose of correction, modifying or confirming the same on the 1st day of August 2024, in the Fire Station at 911 Donaldson Way East, beginning at the hour of 5:00 p.m. of said day. Said hearing will be orally noticed by the Chairperson of said Board of Review at the conclusion of said hearing to a later date for hearing before the Board of Directors regarding any protests remaining unresolved. The failure to make objections or protests at said hearing shall be deemed to be a waiver of same. A statement showing all property affected and the respective fee charged against the same is now on file in the office of the Fire Chief, at 911 Donaldson Way East and is open to public inspection.

First Responder Fee

On November 5, 2019, the Board of Directors passed and adopted Ordinance 2019-02, establishing a First Responder Fee for Emergency Services. This fee is authorized under California Health and Safety Code Sections 13146.2(b), 13217(b), 13862, 13869, 13871, 13874, 13916, and 17951, along with Chapter 8, Division 1, Title 7 of the California Government Code, authorizing the District to adopt a First Responder Fee and collect a fee to cover the costs associated with providing District services.

For Fiscal Year 2024-2025, the First Responder fee is $576.25 per Resolution No. 2024-16.
