Fire Explorers
Welcome to the American Canyon Fire Explorer Post 7262 web page. The American Canyon Fire Explorer program is comprised of young men and women, ages 14-21 that want to learn about fire service while making a positive difference in the community. The program is chartered through the Boy Scouts of America and operates under the American Canyon Fire Protection District. While in the program, Fire Explorers attend Regular monthly training and community outreach events that focus on firefighting, emergency medical care, rescue operations, and public education. Fire Explorers also get the opportunity to participate in Fire District ride-a-longs, allowing for valuable insight to what firefighters do during a 24-hour shift.
Our Mission
The Mission of American Canyon Fire Explorer Post 7262 is to provide the youth of American Canyon an opportunity to develop invaluable life skills such as integrity, work ethic, accountability, team dynamics, and leadership skills while learning about a career in the Fire Service.
