American Canyon is currently home to more than 400 businesses ranging in size from sole proprietorships to large corporations. We are grateful for the contributions that each business makes toward making our community a great place to live, work, and visit.
American Canyon is known for its business-friendly environment and has a close working relationship with the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce. In 2008, we were named one of the "100 Best Places to Live and Launch" by CNNMoney.com.
American Canyon features a safe community, a great educational system, plentiful outdoor adventures, a strong business-industrial park, and a diverse housing stock. Our City offers close proximity to world-famous Napa Valley and Sonoma wineries.
Our City is centrally-located with Napa County communities to the north, the City of Fairfield and the Sacramento metropolitan area to the east, the San Francisco Bay Area to the south, and the Marin County communities to the west.

Our City actively works to attract and expand diverse business and employment opportunities. We are doing this in the following ways:
- Improving opportunities for small businesses to start up and grow
- Developing the Green Island Industrial Area to help businesses grow and attract new industrial users
- Developing the Broadway District through comprehensive planning and infrastructure
- Encouraging tourism and facilitating new tourism opportunities
